New Skills...Almost

Miles is starting to crawl/ push around with his legs. As you can tell by his eyes in this photo it takes a lot of concentration. He is far from crawling but he can move himself around when he is motivated to do so. The only problem is that he practices all night in his sleep, which means that he and I get very little solid sleep. When he was getting ready to roll over he practiced in his sleep for 3 very long weeks. I am hoping that he sleeps better tonight but I won't count on it.
Sorry this post is so boring...I guess I want everyone to feel my sleep deprived pain.

Santa??

Every time I tell someone that Miles is going to be Santa for Halloween they give me the same look people gave me when I told them we were going to have a home birth. So I feel as f I need to explain myself. However, I don't have much of an explanation other than I think that a baby dressed as Santa is really funny. My friend Megan gave me a bag of clothes for Miles, and in the bag there was a Santa outfit. I have personally never seen anyone dressed up like Santa for Halloween so I thought that it would be funny....I guess only to me. Maybe I should have gone with my first idea which was to dress Miles as Tobias the Never Nude from Arrested Development. A baby in cutoff jean shorts and sandals, now that's funny..... maybe next year.

Just a Few More Things.....

We got to hang out with Zephyr and Aunt Bernie this week!!!

Can you guess who Miles is going to be for Halloween?

Miles can sit up now!

So I really need to update the blog more often because people are going to stop checking it unless I keep it up. Sorry Laura!!! I will try to do better.

The Pumpkin Patch

We went to the pumpkin patch today and walked through the corn maze.

It was so bright outside that we couldn't get Miles to look up so all the picture are of his back or side.

Miles wasn't so sure about being left in a wheelbarrow.

The Wedding

The wedding was beautiful! It took place in an old barn and the view of the vineyards could not have been better. We have really random pictures from the wedding but they will have to do.

GMa and GG enjoying some of Napa's fine wines.

The bride looking beautiful.

Aunt Darcy and Uncle Mike eating mini cheeseburgers and fries.

Terry waring his favorite accessory.

Our Trip To Napa

We flew to Napa for Cousin Lyndsey's wedding. This was Miles' first time on an airplane and the flight was great. However, on the way home Miles gaged himself with a toy, spit up on the toy, and flung the spit up ALL OVER the window and the tray table. Yummy!!!!

A family photo in Uncle Bruce's yard. In case you didn't know plaid is in right now :)

Avery was tired after a long day of playing with Miles.

Miles loved the cool Napa air.

Weekly Update

We met Grandma Grace in Oak Glen for a short hike.
It was so nice feel cold air!!

I plan on dressing Miles' any way I want until he is old enough to protest. He spit up all over this shirt like 10 seconds after I put it on. I can't say I blame him, it's a bit much.

We give Miles a spoon full of applesauce while we eat dinner. He gets so excited that he practically shoves the spoon down his throat.

Miles' first beer. A proud moment for all.

5 Months Old

Miles is as surprised as we are that he is already 5 months old!
In honor of Miles' being 5 months old, we thought we would share 5 things that make Miles happy...
1. Jumping
2. His toy monkey
3. Bath time
4. Being outside
5. Our cat Duke
We also thought that we would share 5 things that do not make Miles happy...
1. Having his clothes changed
2. Being set down
3. Sleeping for long periods of time
4. When the person holding him sits down
5. His pacifier

Finally!

I take the worst pictures, but every so often even I take a decent photo.

My Cat Ate The Cord

Miles and his buddy Duke. Poor Duke is so neglected that he has to do things like chew up the camera cord to get our attention.

Visiting Great Grandma was shockingly fun.

Grandpa is pretty fun too.

The temperature was in the 80s. Time to bundle up.

Time for bed! Notice I didn't say sleep:)
