A Morning with Miles

After Miles asked to go "bye bye pleaseeeeeee" about 1,000 times I decided we needed to get out of the house. So...... we went to Target. Miles got 4 new shirts and 2 cars for $21. He was very pleased

The loudest baby ever!

Mae has been very vocal the past few days....she is this loud when she is happy, sad, and somewhere in between (also while nursing and at 3am)

"Mo Wetter"

"Mo Wetter" is what I hear all day long after we leave Zephyr's house. Miles loves to play with "Wetter" and would love to stay all day long if he could. On the way home from San Diego we stopped by for a visit and as usual Miles had a blast. He loves to give Zephyr new ideas about how to break crayons and make huge messes with her puzzles and play food. He also loves to jump off the steps in the garden in between spitting and trying to shake all the trees out of the ground. Two-year-old boys are an interesting breed :)

Mini Vacation

Is there such a thing as vacation when you have 2 young children? I am not sure but I decided to attempt one by taking the kids up to San Diego for the night. Terry is working in San Diego for the week so we took advantage of the free hotel room and made the trip. Miles LOVED the beach and all in all is was worth the work.
p.s. Miles was so impressed by the Lifeguard truck driving on the sand that he waved to it for about five minutes after it passed us

3 Months Old

I can't believe that Mae is already 3 months old! She is as sweet as ever and continues to be a pretty mellow baby...most of the time. She loves to chew on her toys and hands while she watches the world around her. She sleeps pretty well but I must admit the past week or so has been harder because she is working on rolling over (she practices all night long). Mae also enjoys staring in your eyes while babbling. It is very cute and can also be very noisy. Her mohawk is falling out :( so she might be bald soon but everything other than her hair is growing like crazy.

Big Boy Haircut

Terry has wanted to take Miles to get a haircut for about a month. I made him wait until we had his silhouette done which was the one day that I could not get Miles' hair to look curly no matter what I tried! I told Terry that he would have to take Miles by himself to the barber shop thinking that would buy me at least another month of long hair. No such luck. In all honesty it needed to be done because my homemade haircuts were not cutting it (ha ha) anymore and Miles was starting to look like a Hobbit. Miles seems much happier, and less sweaty, with shorter hair which might have had something to do with getting a sucker and gummy worms.

Kisses

Miles loves to hold Mae. He asks me all day long if "Mile hold Baby! Miles hold Mae?" He gets himself all set up in the corner of the couch with the boppy on his lap or on his bed with a pillow on his lap and yells "Put Mae on Miles!" Yesterday while holding Mae on his bed she rolled right off his lap and onto the bed. I was right next to them daydreaming and I hear Miles laughing and I look and Mae is on the bed on her tummy looking up at me! Needless to say we have taken a break from baby holding for a few days.
