Morro Bay

We were lucky enough to spend last week at a beautiful beach house in Morro Bay. Miles made himself right at home.
Notice how rested I look in the above picture...it was soon to change

Miles and GMa playing some sort of letter game that involved Miles hording all the Ms

Morro Bay could not have been more beautiful
Mae was very excited about all the seagulls that Miles insisted were called eagles
A view from the deck

Miles and his crazy fake smile...try to look past the evil grin to the beach..it was steps away

Mae enjoyed looking out the window at birds and waves

Mae got a new hat...it is size 2t-3t.

cousin play

GMa, Ali, and GG

Don't even ask why Miles has on no pants and is jumping off sand hills

Avery and Miles taking a drive in a box

Avery tickling Mae...she kind of liked it

Did I mention that Mae was a teething nightmare while we were there?! Well she was.

Relaxing at the beach after a night of little sleep

They grow up so fast...Ali's future is so bright that she had to wear shades the majority of the time

Mae never left my side and Miles made sure to get in on some of the clingy time

Watching the sunset at the end of the street

Terry went surfing a couple times
Miles took a walk to think things over

Mae collected lots of seaweed
Mae was not afraid to get dirty

Quality sibling time

The biggest most dangerous sucker ever! What kind of parents buy things like that for their child!?

It was another great week in Morro Bay. Thank you GG and GMa.

Stats

Yesterday we took Mae for her 1 year check up....a little late but close enough.
Weight; 22lbs 9oz
Height; 30 1/2 inches
Head...off the chart (notice the above photo for proof). Every time the Mae gets her heard measured they always come back in and measure it again just to see if the first measurement is off. It never is.
Mae is not walking yet but she can crawl fasten than I knew was possible. She is able to climb onto just about anything which gives me about 50 heart attacks a day. Mae can say; mama, dada, baby, dog, go, ball, and hi. She knows the signs for more, all done, swing, bird, milk (ugh), and please. She also shakes her head yes and no and will answer any question you ask. She points to things and shakes her head yes to tell us what she wants. She is demanding but also very cute. She sleeps in her crib and some night are good most are not. Mae likes food but still prefers to nurse. Her favorite foods are hummus, pasta w sauce, blueberries, smoothies, crackers, and bananas. Mae has 4 teeth. The 2 bottom middle teeth and her left top front tooth and the one next to that (I know teeth have names but at the moment it just seems like too much work to google it)...not sure why they came in that way but I hope her other front tooth comes in soon to even it all out. Mae loves to play outside and get DIRTY. Mae is as sweet as ever and she makes us all laugh and smile all day long..but not so much during the night. We could not love her more.

The 4th..4 days late

(the look on Mae's face kills me...she is sooo over it)

snow cones are the breakfast of champions

This 4th if July we enjoyed our new town by going to the park, watching the parade, and ending the night wathcing an amazing fireworks show with the Power's family. Terry and Mae missed the fireworks this year but Miles got to see them form the first time and he liked/loved them.
