A collared shirt is a must for the first day of school. And seeing that every boy in Miles' class had one on made me feel better about my wardrobe choice
Today was Miles' first day of school. Yesterday I cried at least 10 times thinking about how grown up he was getting and how I was going to have to let go a little bit. Even though I am ready for him to have some time away from me to learn and grow, it is never easy to let go. Even if it is only from 9-12 3 days a week.
Anyway, Miles did great! I was really nervous that he was going to have a hard goodbye but as soon as he started playing in the sand area he told me "I won't cry. You can go if I can look for wet sand." So off Mae and I went....slowly.
Miles didn't tell me much about his day other than that he didn't pee at school and he didn't have to wash his hands before snack (I have a feeling that might not be true...let's hope). He told me that they read a story about school and played with blocks. He was full of energy when he got home and has been sleeping hard for almost 2 hours. It seems like a great first day!
