5 Months (a little late)

Here are the top 5 reason I have not had time to blog
1. Mae wakes up about 50 times a night
2. Miles is 2 and enjoys testing every boundary/rule over and over and over
3. Miles and Mae both wake up between 5 and 6 every morning
4. I spend every free second I have stuffing my face with food
5. I am so tired I can only think of 4....

Mae is our happy girl who loves to play with toys and "talk" at the top of her lungs. She wears size 9 months and it seems like she grows an inch every night (maybe that is why she wakes up so much :)) Mae loves to watch Miles and he can always make her smile no matter what her mood. Mae puts everything in her mouth and has to wear a bib at all times because she drools so much. She can roll over both ways but she doesn't do it very often, which is fine by me, because I would like to keep her immobile as long as possible. Mae can't wait to try food but we are going to wait another month or so before we give it a try. She cries if strangers make eye contact with her but she yells to get their attention. She is the sweetest and we couldn't love our Maesy Girl more.

2-and- a- half

It is amazing how much can change in two-and-a-half years. After hearing this song the other day I convinced Terry he needed to make a video of Miles to go along with it.

"Trick or Treatin'"

We had a fun filled weekend that included spending Saturday with Ian, Jenny, and Zephyr and Sunday trick or treating with our good friends Bruce, Tracy, and Olivia. Miles is pretty shy so he had to work up some serious nerve to speak to strangers...but with candy as a reward he was sort of willing. He had a blast walking around Carlsbad with Zephyr but was a little more reserved on Sunday evening. After a few houses he was ready to be done, and then he would want to do it again, and then right away he would change his mind. Terry said all the girls would be done getting candy from the house and Miles would still be slowly be making his way up to the door. He is our sweet boy who can really benefit from spending time with all these social butterflies. Mae could have cared less about the holiday but she sure looked cute in her costumes. We feel very lucky be able to spend these fun times with friends and family.
