Big Jump

Miles can find all kids of ways to entertain himself...he did this for at least 30 minutes

Baby!

Mae has been saying "baby" for a couple weeks and I still can't get over how cute it is. She loves her baby and often falls asleep holding him.

Rock n Roll Marathon

Miles and Sullivan were too cool with their glasses and cape. They were so cute!!!!

On Sunday Terry and his friends ran a half marathon in San Diego. The guys did great and had a blast.
The kids and I came along and spent 2 nights in La Jolla. I forgot to pack the camera so these are the only photos we have from the weekend. Miles and Mae both loved the beach and the hotel. The glass elevator and many waterfalls were a big hit. The weather was perfect and you can't beat the ocean air. It is always good to get away no matter how little sleep I get :)

Well Rested (knock on wood)

Now that Miles uses a nasal spray before bed, he is no longer waking up to ask us to wipe his nose.
I got this gem of a toy at the curch rummage sale for $2. What a score! Mae is already able to go forward and backward and she is pretty pleased with herself.

can you tell they are related, or what!

Now that Mae is sleeping in her crib the mornings are filled with reading and playing rather than fussy baby time.

11 Months

It is no longer possible to get pictures of Mae with the month stickers....but she did have a fun time taking it off her shirt.

Mae wants to do everything that Miles does and Miles wants to be ALL over Mae all the time. It is a work in progress..but they do love be around each other. The other day after a challenging trip to the grocery store Miles and Mae held hands the entire drive home.

Mae is a pretty social baby. She will go up to strangers during story time and climb into their laps! Mae also enjoyed the visit from Uncle Joe.
Mae is now falling asleep in her crib, and sleeping there for her naps and until about 1am.
This face is the reason I decided Mae was not getting enough sleep in our bed...

Miles loves to feed Mae whatever he is eating. So here she is eating hummus and crackers, which is fine, but he has also fed her cheese (not good for a baby who can't tolerate dairy) and peanut butter.
Mae is much less of a baby this month. She is eating and sleeping better (working on it anyway). She says a few words and shakes her head for yes and no. She points to tell you what she wants and hits things when she gets upset (in a sweet baby way :)). She plays with Miles' toys and even knows how to use his toy stethoscope! She loves to give us kisses and is still as sweet as cab be. I can't believe that my baby will be 1 next month!!!!!!!!

Sleep

Imagine the exact opposite face...that it what I am working with at this exact moment. We are all in need of some sleep and Mae most of all. We are trying our hardest to get Mae to fall asleep in her crib and at right now it feels like it will never happen. Mae is able to fight sleep with a vengeance so wish us luck.

Sticks and Dirt....

(that is a fake chip and for some reason Miles and Mae both love it)
