The Big 2

Today was Miles' 2nd Birthday! Miles woke up to find that he now the proud owner of a fancy black truck.
He was pretty excited about his truck which was good considering his party was going to be very tame due to my bed rest and his recent exposure (by exposure I mean repeatedly eating food out of his friend's mouth while she was contagious) to Fifth Disease. It sounds really bad but it is really just a childhood virus that has few symptoms while contagious, and a horrible rash after it is no longer contagious. The only real concern is for women who are pregnant, like me. I have to do some extra blood work on Monday to see if I am already immune. Because of this we decided to uninvite the 2 kids who were coming just to be on the safe side.

Luckily Miles still had a great time eating a birthday breakfast with his GG, GMa, Grandma, and Grandpa.
If you ever want to make Miles really happy just bring him a balloon.

Miles' Grandma suggested that he climb out the back window....he liked that idea.

A little cake after waffles never hurt anybody.

Happy Birthday Bubsie!

When you are two, having just a few people around, all of them who love you very much and not one of them who is interested in taking any of your new toys away--Perfect!! It was also a great breakfast and a wonderful celebration for and of Miles. Happy Birthday, Big Boy Miles. Love, Grandma Grace

Great truck, Miles! Sounds like a great birthday party - lots of adoring adults and no kid competition! Take care of yourself, Jillsie!

I forgot to say that it looks like the birthday cake was carrot cake, which I think I remember is your favorite. Looks very yummy. Carrot cake is also a favorite of Henry and Agatha.

Happy Birthday Miles! That truck is pretty awesome, enjoy! And I think waffles should always be followed by cake.
