It is no longer possible to get pictures of Mae with the month stickers....but she did have a fun time taking it off her shirt. Mae wants to do everything that Miles does and Miles wants to be ALL over Mae all the time. It is a work in progress..but they do love be around each other. The other day after a challenging trip to the grocery store Miles and Mae held hands the entire drive home.
Mae is a pretty social baby. She will go up to strangers during story time and climb into their laps! Mae also enjoyed the visit from Uncle Joe. Mae is now falling asleep in her crib, and sleeping there for her naps and until about 1am. This face is the reason I decided Mae was not getting enough sleep in our bed...
Miles loves to feed Mae whatever he is eating. So here she is eating hummus and crackers, which is fine, but he has also fed her cheese (not good for a baby who can't tolerate dairy) and peanut butter. Mae is much less of a baby this month. She is eating and sleeping better (working on it anyway). She says a few words and shakes her head for yes and no. She points to tell you what she wants and hits things when she gets upset (in a sweet baby way :)). She plays with Miles' toys and even knows how to use his toy stethoscope! She loves to give us kisses and is still as sweet as cab be. I can't believe that my baby will be 1 next month!!!!!!!!
What beautiful children you have!! Both of them are so adorable and I love hearing about their interactions. I'm also glad to hear that Mae is sleeping better and in her own crib. That's a great step and I know it will get better.
I hope that I am able to see Mae before long. I don't want her to be a big girl before I do! Of course I want to see Miles too!
I am so happy that our 11 month old Mae is happy, eating, sleeping better, loving her brother, Miles, kind of girl. She was a wonderful gift in 2010--she continues to be a joy every day since then. Love, Grandma Grace
Oh my goodness, how is she almost 1?! The 2nd one grows up so much quicker :( And I thought the stickers would be so much better than the month signs I did with James, we will see if Mac learns to peel off the sticker too! Mae is super cute and I am SO glad to hear sleep is getting better. It gives me hope!!
One last comment about the "sleeping Mae" picture. My mother, Great Grandma Ruth, made that blanket for Jill when I was nursing Jill so that we could both be warm during those night feedings. Jill used it and continued to use it (grade school through college and beyond) until Mae took a liking to it. Wouldn't my mother be amazed and surprised to see sweet Mae loving it. Love has a way of coming through, and blanket warmth and snuggles accomplish great security--my mother always believed in things that make you happy and secure. The gifts of Grandma Ruth (Rauser) just keep appearing. Love, Grandma Grace
